Гипотетический древний материк или большой остров, существовавший на севере Земли, в районе Северного полюса и населенный некогда могущественной цивилизацией. Название образовано как раз из месторасположения, Гиперборея - это то, что находится на крайнем севере, "за северным ветром Бореем", в Арктике.
До сих пор факт существования Арктиды-Гипербореи не имел подтверждения, кроме древнегреческих легенд и изображения этого участка суши на старых гравюрах, например, на карте Герарда МЕРКАТОРА, изданной его сыном Рудольфом в 1595 году. На этой карте в центре изображен легендарный материк Арктида, вокруг - побережье Северного океана с легко узнаваемыми современными островами и реками.
Кстати, сама эта карта породила немало вопросов у исследователей. Например, на ней в районе возле устья Оби на этой карте помещена надпись "Золотая баба". Неужели это та самая легендарная чудодейственная статуя, символ знания и власти, который разыскивали по всей Сибири на протяжении столетий? Здесь же дается ее точная привязка к местности - идите и найдете!
Согласно описаниям тех-же древнегреческих летописцев, в Арктиде якобы был благоприятный климат, там из центрального моря (озера) вытекали и впадали в океан 4 крупные реки, благодаря чему на карте Арктида выглядит как "круглый щит с крестом". Гиперборейцы, жители идеальной по своему устройству Арктиды были особенно любимы богом Аполлоном (в Арктиде существовали его жрецы и слуги).
По какому-то заведенному издревле графику Аполлон являлся в эти земли каждый раз ровно через 19 лет. Вообще к богам гиперборейцы были близки не менее, а может и более, чем "боголюбимые" эфиопы, феаки и лотофаги. Кстати, и многие греческие боги, тот же Аполлон, также хорошо известные Геракл, Персей и другие менее знаменитые герои имели один эпитет - Гиперборейский...
Может быть в том числе и поэтому жизнь в счастливой Арктиде наряду с благоговейными молитвами сопровождалась песнями, танцами, пирами и всеобщим непроходящим весельем. В Арктиде даже смерть наступала лишь от усталости и пресыщения жизнью, точнее говоря от самоубийств - испытав все виды наслаждения и устав от жизни, старые гиперборейцы обычно бросались в море.
Мудрые гиперборейцы владели огромным количеством знаний, самых передовых на тот момент. Именно выходцы из этих мест, аполлоновские мудрецы Абарис и Аристей (считавшиеся и служителями, и ипостасью Аполлона), обучили греков слагать поэмы и гимны, впервые открыли основные премудрости, музыку, философию. Под их руководством был сложен знаменитый Дельфийский храм... Эти учителя, как сообщали летописи, владели и символами бога Аполлона, в числе которых назывались стрела, ворон, лавр с чудодейственной силой.
Об Арктиде сохранилась такая легенда: когда-то ее жители преподнесли первый урожай, выращенный в здешних местах самому Аполлону на Делос. Но девушки, посланные с дарами были насильно оставлены на Делосе, а некоторые даже изнасилованы. После этого, столкнувшись с дикостью других народов, культурные гиперборейцы больше не уходили с целью жертвоприношения далеко от своей земли, а складывали дары на границе с соседней страной, а далее до Аполлона дары переносили за плату уже другие народы.
Историк Древнего мира Плиний Старший относился к описанию неведомой страны весьма серьезно. Из его записей почти однозначно прослеживается местонахождение малоизвестной страны. Добраться в Арктиду, согласно Плинию, было трудно (для людей, но не для гиперборейцев, которые могли летать), но не так уж и невозможно, нужно было лишь перемахнуть через некие северные Гиперборейские горы:
"За этими горами, по ту сторону Аквилона, счастливый народ... который называется гиперборейцами, достигает весьма преклонных лет и прославлен чудесными легендами... Солнце светит там в течении полугода, и это только один день, когда Солнце не скрывается... от весеннего равноденствия до осеннего, светила там восходят только однажды в год при летнем солнцестоянии, а заходят только при зимнем...
Страна эта находится вся на Солнце, с благодатным климатом и лишена всякого вредного ветра. Домами для этих жителей являются рощи, леса; культ Богов справляется отдельными людьми и всем обществом; там неизвестны раздоры и всякие болезни. Смерть приходит там только от пресыщения жизнью... Нельзя сомневаться в существовании этого народа..."
Есть и еще одно косвенное доказательство былого существования высокоразвитой полярной цивилизации. За семь лет до первой кругосветки Магеллана турок Пири РЕЙС составил карту мира, на которой были обозначены не только Америка и Магелланов пролив, но и Антарктида, которую русским мореплавателям предстояло открыть лишь 300 лет спустя...
Береговая линия и некоторые подробности рельефа представлены на ней с такой точностью, какой можно достигнуть только при аэрофотосъемке, а то и съемке из космоса. Самый южный континент планеты на карте Пири Рейса лишен ледового покрова! На нем есть реки и горы. Несколько изменены расстояния между континентами, что подтверждает факт их дрейфа.
Коротенькая запись в дневниках Пири Рейса говорит о том, что он составил свою карту на основе материалов эпохи Александра Македонского. Откуда знали об Антарктиде в IV веке до н.э.? Кстати, в 1970-е годы советская антарктическая экспедиция установила, что покрывающему континент ледовому панцирю по крайней мере 20 тысяч лет, то получается, что возраст реального первоисточника информации составляет минимум 200 веков.
А если так, то получается, что когда карта составлялась, возможно, на Земле существовала развитая цивилизация, которая в столь глубокой древности сумела достигнуть таких колоссальных успехов в картографии? Лучшим претендентом на лучших картографов того времени могли быть гипербореи, благо они жили также на полюсе, только не на южном, а на северном, которые, напомним, оба были в то время свободны от льда и холода.
Способность летать, имевшаяся у гипербореев делала возможным полеты от полюса к полюсу. Возможно, этим и объясняется загадка, почему оригинальная карта была составлена так, словно бы наблюдатель находился бы на орбите Земли...
Но, вскоре, как мы уже знаем, полярные картографы погибли или исчезли, а полярные области покрылись льдом... Куда ведут их дальнейшие следы? Считается, что погибшая в результате климатического катаклизма высокоразвитая цивилизация Гипербореи оставила после себя потомков в лице ариев, а те в свою очередь - славян и россиян...
Поиски Гипербореи сродни поискам погибшей Атлантиды, с той только разницей, что от затонувшей Гипербореи все-таки осталась часть суши - это север нынешней России. Впрочем, неясные трактовки (это уже собственное частное мнение) позволяют говорить, что Атлантида и Гиперборея могли быть вообще одним и тем-же материком...
Так это или нет - в какой-то степени к разгадке великой тайны должны подойти будущие экспедиции. На севере России многочисленные геологические партии неоднократно сталкивались со следами деятельности древних, однако, целенаправленно никто из них не ставил своей целью поиск гиперборейцев.
В 1922 году в районе Сейдозера и Ловозера в Мурманской области прошла экспедиция, возглавляемая Барченко и Кондиайна, которая занималась этнографическими, психофизическими и просто географическими исследованиями. Случайно или не случайно поисковики наткнулись на странный лаз, уходящий под землю. Проникнуть внутрь ученым не удалось - мешал странный безотчетный страх, почти осязаемый ужас, буквально рвущийся наружу из черного зева.
Один из местных жителей рассказывал, что "ощущение было таким, будто с тебя живьем сдирают кожу!" Сохранилась коллективная фотография [напечатана в "НГ-наука" октябрь 1997], на которой рядом с мистическим лазом сфотографировались 13 членов экспедиции.
После возвращения в Москву материалы экспедиции были очень внимательно изучены, в том числе и на Лубянке. В это сложно поверить, но экспедиция А.Барченко еще на стадии подготовки была поддержана лично Феликсом ДЗЕРДЖИНСКИМ. И это в самые голодные для Советской России годы, сразу по окончанию гражданской войны! Что косвенно говорит за то, что не все цели экспедиции известны нам достоверно.
Разобраться, за чем именно ездил на Сейдозеро Барченко сейчас сложно, руководитель был репрессирован и расстрелян, добытые им материалы так никогда и не были опубликованы.
В 1990-х годах доктор филосовских наук Валерий Никитич ДЕМИН обратил внимание на весьма скудные дошедшие до нас воспоминания о находках Барченко, а когда подробнейшим образом изучил местные легенды и сравнил их с греческими, то пришел к выводу - искать надо здесь!

Места на самом деле удивительные, у местных жителей Сейдозеро до сих пор вызывает благоговейный страх или по крайней мере уважение. Всего век-другой назад его южный берег был самым почетным местом для погребения в каменную могилу для шаманов и других уважаемых членов саамского народа. Для них название Сейдозера и загробного рая были попросту одним и тем же. Здесь даже ловить рыбу разрешалось только один день в году...
В советские времена зона севернее озера считалась стратегической сырьевой базой, здесь были обнаружены большие запасы редкоземельных металлов. Сейчас Сейдозеро и Ловозеро славятся частым появлением различных аномальных явлений, да еще... чрезвычайно разбуянившихся в здешней тайге небольшого племени снежных людей...
В 1997-1999 годах в том же месте под руководством В.Демина были вновь предприняты поиски, только на этот раз остатков древней цивилизации Арктиды. И новости не заставили себя ждать.
Пока в ходе экспедиций "Гиперборея-97" и "Гиперборея-98" были найдены: несколько разрушенных древних строений, в том числе каменная "обсерватория" на горе Нинчурт, каменные "дорога", "лестница", "этрусский якорь", колодец под горой Куамдеспахк; подобраны некоторые искусственные древние изделия (например наладчик из Ревды Александр ФЕДОТОВ нашел в ущелье Чивруай странную металлическую "матрешку"); исследованы несколько изображений "трезубца", "лотоса", а также известное всем местным старожилам гигантское (70 м) наскальное крестообразное изображение человека "старика Койву" (согласно легендам - побежденный и вмурованный в скалу южнее Карнасурты побежденный "чужой" шведский бог)...
Как выяснилось, "старик Койву" образован почерневшими камнями, по которым столетиями сочится из скалы вода. С другими находками тоже не все так просто. Профессиональные геологи и археологи скептически относятся к вышеперечисленным находкам, считая всех их ни чем иным, как игрой природы, сооружениями саамов давностью до нескольких веков и остатками деятельности советских геологов в 1920-30-х годах.
Впрочем, при изучении доводов "за" и "против" нельзя не учитывать того, что критиковать всегда проще, чем добывать доказательства. В истории науки было немало случаев, когда раскритикованные в пух и прах исследователи в конце концов добивались своего. Классический пример - "непрофессионал" Генрих ШЛИМАН, который обнаружил-таки Трою там, где ее "не должно быть".
Чтобы повторить подобный успех, нужно как минимум быть увлеченным. Все оппоненты профессора Демина как раз и называют его "сверхувлеченным". Так что, можно сказать, что определенная надежда в успех поисков есть.
Искать надо, поскольку речь идет не просто о следах одного из древних народов, а о весьма высокоразвитой цивилизации, возможно, как считает В.Демин, прародины арийского, славянского народа, места "откуда пошли народы". Могло ли такое быть в принципе на нашем неприветливо холодном комаринном Севере?
Не спешите с ответом, когда-то климат нынешнего российского Севера был гораздо более благоприятным. Как писал Ломоносов, "в северных краях в древние веки великие жары бывали, где слонам родиться и размножаться... можно было".
Возможно, резкое похолодание наступило в результате какого-либо катаклизма или в результате небольшого смещения земной оси (согласно вычислениям древних вавилонских астрономов и египетских жрецов, это произошло 399 тысяч лет назад).
Однако, вариант с поворотом оси не срабатывает - ведь согласно древнегреческим летописям, высокоразвитая цивилизация жила в Гиперборее всего несколько тысяч лет назад и именно НА СЕВЕРНОМ ПОЛЮСЕ или рядом с ним (это четко видно из описаний, и этим описаниям можно доверять, ибо невозможно придумать и описать "из головы" полярный день таким образом, каким он виден на полюсе и нигде больше).
Где такое могло быть - неясно, на первый взгляд возле Северного полюса нет даже островов. Но... есть мощный подводный хребет, названный в честь первооткрывателя хребтом Ломоносова, рядом - хребет Менделеева. Они действительно ушли на дно океана относительно недавно - по геологическим понятиям.
Если так, то возможные жители этой гипотетической "Арктиды", хотя бы некоторые из них, вполне имели время перебраться на нынешний континент в районе Канадского арктического архипелага или на Кольском, Таймырском полуостровах, а скорей всего в России восточнее дельты Лена (именно там, где древние советовали искать знаменитую "Золотую бабу")!
Если Арктида-Гиперборея не миф, то что тогда поддерживало теплый климат на большой околополюсной территории? Мощное геотермальное тепло? Маленькая страна вполне может согреваться теплом фонтанирующих гейзеров (как Исландия), но от наступления зимы это не спасет.
Да и в сообщениях древних греков нет упоминания о густых шлейфах пара (не заметить их было нельзя). А так вполне хорошая гипотеза: вулканы и гейзеры обогревали Гиперборею, а потом в один прекрасный день они же и сгубили ее... Гипотеза вторая: быть может, причина тепла - теплое гольфстримское течение?
Но сейчас его тепла недостаточно для обогрева большого района (это вам кажет любой житель Мурманской области, где "теплый" Гольфстрим заканчивает свое течение). Может быть, раньше течение было более мощным? Вполне может быть. В противном случае мы вынуждены будем предполагать, что тепло в Гиперборее вообще было искусственного происхождения!
Если, согласно тем-же греческим историкам, там, в этом божьем райском месте были решены проблемы долголетия, рационального землепользования, свободного полета в атмосфере и многие другие, то почему бы гипербореям "заодно" не решить и проблему управления климатом!?
Проезд до места поисков Арктиды на Сейдозере:
1. поездом или на попутных до Оленегорска Мурманской области (от Москвы 1,5 суток на поезде); на попутных или на автобусе до Ревды; затем пешком или на вахтовом автобусе до рудника около 10 км; пешком около 15 км по тропе через перевал строго на юг до Сейдозера; пешком около 10 км по тропе вдоль берега озера до единственной сохранившейся избы на берегу Сейдозера...
2. От Ревды на автобусе до поселка Ловозеро; выйти на южную окраину поселка; пойти пешком вдоль линии электропередач, ведущей на юг (но не той, что ведет на западо-юго-запад!), по тропе и просеке (иногда болотами) вдоль берега Ловозера около 30 км до Мотки (изба на берегу Ловозера) и дороги ведущей на запад; по ней около 2 км до избы на Сейдозере...
3. От Ловозера нанять у местных жителей моторную лодку, которая вас довезет за 1 час до Мотки и дороги на Сейдозера; по ней дойти до избы.
