Все эти великие умы бежали от сумасшедшего Гитлера, все они ненавидели его. И несмотря на свои пацифистские убеждения, готовы были сделать все, чтобы остановить нацистскую заразу. Именно иностранные ученые Альберт Эйнштейн и Карлос Альенде, по слухам, разработали знаменитый Филадельфийский эксперимент. Задумки были самыми благородными - спасти от фашистских радаров американские суда. Но вот то, что из этого получилось: перевернуло все представления о явлениях природы.
Странный знакомый.
Место действия - окрестности Колорадо-Спрингс, один из тихих вечеров 1970 года, поздняя осень. Двое пилотов - Джеймс Дэвис из Мериленда и Аллен Хьюз из Техаса - отправились погулять в близлежащий мемориальный парк, прихватив с собой фотоаппарат.
Неожиданно к Дэвису подошел один из посетителей парка. Они разговорились. "Знаете, - сказал он, - я ведь во время войны был морским офицером. Вот только они там втянули меня в какую-то авантюру, а потом меня же и выгнали. Сказали, что я сошел с ума, - он легонько постучал указательным пальцем по лбу. - Только вы не верьте, это все проклятый эксперимент. А я просто не выдержал чертовой нагрузки. Вот они меня и вышвырнули". Мужчина вытащил из кармана бумажник и показал потрепанное и, видимо, давно устаревшее удостоверение: "Видите? ВМС". Мужчина рассказал за кружечкой пива Дэвису такое, во что он никак не мог поверить, сколько ни старался.
И все же он поделился информацией с журналистами одной из популярных американских газет. С тех пор журналисты многих изданий, равно как и простые исследователи, пытаются выяснить все подробности одного из самых засекреченных и сенсационных экспериментов за всю историю науки.
Как это было?
Итак, что рассказал неизвестный Дэвису и что удалось, потом выяснить журналистам? Филадельфийский эксперимент был известен также под названием "Проект "Радуга" - такое название присвоили этим исследованиям те, кто ими руководил. Он был задуман как совершенно секретный проект, который позволил бы решить исход Второй мировой войны. В рамках проекта "Радуга", провозвестника нынешней технологии "Стеллс" ("малой заметности"), проводились технические эксперименты с целью обеспечить невидимость кораблей для вражеских радаров. Для этого создавали "электромагнитный пузырь" - экран, который отводил бы излучение радаров мимо корабля. "Электромагнитный пузырь" изменяет внешнее электромагнитное поле вокруг определенной области - в данном случае поле окружало военный корабль "Элдридж".
Хотя целью было лишь добиться неразличимости корабля для радаров, выявился совершенно непредвиденный и радикальный побочный эффект.
Он сделал корабль невидимым для невооруженного глаза и изъял его из пространственно-временного континуума. Корабль неожиданно возник в Норфолке, штат Виржиния, на удалении в сотни миль.
Проект оказался успешным в материальном, физическом отношении, но для задействованных людей стал жестокой катастрофой. Пока корабль "перемещался" из филадельфийской базы ВМС в Норфолк и обратно, члены судовой команды полностью потеряли ориентацию. Они покинули физический мир, но не обрели привычной среды, с которой могли бы установить связь. По возвращении на базу ВМС в Филадельфии некоторые не могли передвигаться, не опираясь на стены. Те, кто выжил, были психически ненормальными, находились в состоянии ужаса.
Впоследствии все члены команды после длительного периода реабилитации были уволены как "психически неуравновешенные". Ну, а освидетельствование их "психической неуравновешенности" оказалось весьма удобным для дискредитации возможных откровений о случившемся. В итоге исследования в рамках проекта "Радуга" приостановили.
Несмотря на то, что было сделано крупное открытие, осталось невыясненным, смогут ли человеческие существа выжить при последующих экспериментах. Продолжать было слишком рискованно. Доктора Джона фон Неймана, возглавлявшего проект, привлекли к работе над Манхэттенским проектом по созданию атомной бомбы, которая стала оружием, положившим конец Второй мировой войне.
Последний аргумент
Совсем недавно на телеэкране разоткровенничался 83-летний Патрик Мейси, служивший в 40-егоды прошлого века в американском флоте. И вот что он поведал:
- Со мной однажды был престранный случай, когда я во время войны служил в ВМС. Я тогда занимался контролем за аудио- и видеоматериалами и однажды в 1945 году в Вашингтоне получил возможность увидеть часть фильма о проводившемся на море эксперименте, который показывали высшим чинам ВМС. Я помню лишь отдельные части фильма, ведь я находился при исполнении служебных обязанностей и не мог, как другие, сидеть и смотреть его.
Я не знал, о чем, собственно, фильм, поскольку комментария в нем не было. Но помню, что речь в нем шла о трех кораблях. Было показано, как два корабля накачивали какой-то энергией третий, стоявший между ними. Я тогда подумал, что это звуковые волны, но ничего определенного сказать не могу, меня, естественно, в эти дела не посвящали. Через какое-то время этот средний корабль - эсминец - начал постепенно исчезать в каком-то прозрачном тумане, пока от него не остался один только след на воде.
Чем же завершились работы по телепортациям, чем закончились исследования, неизвестно. Может быть, военные не считают нужным обнародовать свои достижения. Может быть, не настало время. И нас еще ждет впереди немало загадок.
Загадки Бермудского треугольника
В разные годы интерес к загадке то затухал, то вновь разгорался, возникали все новые и новые вопросы. В самом деле, если ВМС действительно удалось - случайно или намеренно - добиться эффекта невидимости или даже телепортации (мгновенного перемещения материального предмета из одного пункта в другой), то не могли бы результаты подобного эксперимента послужить также объяснением целого ряда загадочных событий и многочисленных случаев бесследного исчезновения в районе Земли, который принято называть Бермудским треугольником? Почему не допустить, что американцы превратили это географическое пространство в полигон для испытаний телепортационных устройств? Тогда загадки треугольника объясняются очень легко.
Немало белых пятен будет снято и с историй о появлениях НЛО, если подтвердится проведение Филадельфийского эксперимента. Странные объекты, которые неожиданно появляются и исчезают в разных точках Земли, вполне могут быть управляемыми летательными аппаратами Пентагона, которые просто собирают нужные для военной разведки сведения.
Научились ли американцы телепортации? Почему бы и нет? Сейчас это явление можно и нужно держать в секрете - это огромное военное превосходство над любым противником. А если данные обнародовать - последует разорение тысяч авиа - и железнодорожных компаний, автомобильных концернов. Безработица для сотен миллионов людей. Американцам это не нужно. Им нужна большая и победоносная война. И если Филадельфийский эксперимент состоялся и прошел удачно - они могут ее выиграть.
Что сжег Эйнштейн?
Самый главный вопрос: является ли рассказ неизвестного подлинным? Многие члены экипажа "Элдриджа" к началу расследования уже умерли. Другие категорически отказывались говорить с прессой. Но кое-какие доказательства все же добыли.
В 70-х годах прессе стали доступны письма некоего Карлоса Альенде, который был одним из научных руководителей проекта. Он писал своему другу и коллеге доктору Джессупу, которому решил рассказать о сделанной работе. В этих письмах весь эксперимент: от его зарождения и проведения, до последующих разработок.
А вот заключительные слова его третьего письма: "Возможно, ВМС уже использовали ту транспортировочную катастрофу для постройки НЛО. С любой точки зрения логически - это следующий шаг".
Если довериться данным Карлоса Альенде, то основы проекта Филадельфийского эксперимента следует искать в весьма туманной и в высшей степени сложной научной теории, разработанной Альбертом Эйнштейном и известной как Единая теория поля. В своем втором письме Джессупу Альенде пишет, что Эйнштейн впервые опубликовал эту теорию в 1925-1927 годах, однако затем изъял ее из соображений "гуманистики", как выразился Альенде.
Известно, что великий ученый был гуманистом. Однако он смертельно ненавидел Гитлера. По времени знаменитый физик вполне мог участвовать в Филадельфийском эксперименте. А то, что это помогло бы разгромить Гитлера, - было для него весьма убедительным аргументом.
После смерти Эйнштейна в 1955 году говорилось о том, что он за несколько месяцев до смерти сжигал документы, касающиеся некоторых из хорошо проработанных им теорий, - из-за того, что "человечество не созрело для них и без этих теорий будет чувствовать себя лучше". Неужели он уничтожал следы эксперимента…
